We make a team of people to handle the project. This essentially have lead Design engineer, Lead Checker, Detailers etc. Lead Engineer and Checker studies the project specifications, understands the same, prepares list of query related to the work allotted. Prepare missing specification if not available or ask to client and mark the layout of the project. Prepare document control list and estimate man-hour needed for the work.
This will make them ready to allocate the man-power for the work. The team leader assigns the work to the engineering personnel handling the relevant discipline (such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation). Generally, multi discipline is involved and the work is sub-divided and sequentially carried out by the engineering groups maintaining interdependence and co-ordination through the team leader. Reviews are conducted periodically involving the top management. In order to get the most optimum results, various engineering options within the specifications and parameters laid down by client are explored.
Results are checked by the Chief Engineer of the engineering group, which carried out the assignment. Additionally, standard as well as customized software is utilized to check the output. Any conflicts in parameters are settled in consultation with the client.
